Name Days
Name Days (namesdays) are days in different countries that are associated with a particular name or group of names. Though there are many reasons why there are namedays, the most common is because of religious reasons (a particular saint was born on that day, etc...).
In many countries one's namesday is more important than their birthday and they exchange gifts, celebrate, and have other rituals that would be commonly performed on a birthday.
